Scarlets' only win in their last seven games in all competitions was 25-8 at home to Ulster in the Magners League on 5 March. Scarlets have a won one, lost two record against fellow Welsh regions at Parc y Scarlets this season.
Cardiff Blues have won their last three matches in all competitions, and even more impressively have also won their last five away encounters.
The two teams have already met twice this season with the Blues victorious on both occasions: 19-15 at Cardiff City Stadium in the Magners League and 38-23 at Parc y Scarlets in the Anglo-Welsh Cup.
